Whose land is your land?
1. Based on the different maps available, when did the place you live transfer from Aniishinaabe control?
2. Think geographically/graphically: represent the time that your land was home to Aniishinaabe peoples and since.
Who is reflected in these place names? Who is erased?
1. What has your town been called before? Who does your town/area’s name represent?
2. Does your town/area have a past Anishinaabemowin name? If not, what might it have been called?
