2010 Meet Nessie – Sea Monster Raffle – Rules & Regulations
- There are only 4,000 tickets available. Tickets are $5.00 each. Tickets are not tax deductible. By purchasing a ticket in this lottery, the purchaser acknowledges that they have read, understood and agreed to the rules and regulations. The odds of winning will depend on the number of tickets sold. The total value of all prizes is approximately $7,250* inclusive of all applicable taxes and freight. Winning tickets will be drawn randomly by an independent judge. All valid tickets are eligible for the draws in accordance with these rules and regulations.
- Ticket purchasers must be a minimum of 18 years of age. Tickets will be physically sold only in the Province of Ontario. Post-dated cheques will not be accepted as payment for tickets. Payment must be received in full for ticket purchases to be valid. In the event of a cheque returned by the bank, the ticket price must be paid in full before the ticket will be validated.
- Tickets will be on sale until Friday, December 4 at 2:00 pm. The draw (2 prize draws) will be conducted in Southampton, Ontario. The Early Bird Draw will be held September 4, 2010 for the TV & Nintendo Wii prize package and December 4, 2010 for the Grand Prize trip to Scotland at the Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre. The winning ticket for the early bird draw will be replaced into the drum for the grand prize.
- A listing will be available on our website (www.brucecountyhistory.on.ca) on September 5, 2010 and December 5, 2010 for each respective draw. Winners will also be listed in the Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre Newsletter, Bruce County Historical Society Notes Newsletter and Annual Year Book.
- All prizes must be claimed within one year after the draw date. Prizes may not be exactly as shown. All values listed are approximate and include applicable taxes and freight. Winners of all prizes must accept the prize as awarded. All winners will be contacted by the Bruce County Historical Society executive to claim your prize. The following persons are prohibited from purchasing a ticket: Executive members of the Bruce County Historical Society, Staff of the Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre. All winners will be notified by phone or mail with complete instructions on how to redeem their prize(s). Winners agree to the use of their name and photo for publicity purposes by Bruce County
- The winner of the Scotland trip must choose a departure day in May 2011.The winner must choose one of the following departure dates May 2, 10, 18 or 26. The date must be chosen within 2 weeks of the draw. The draw is December 4th so the winner must choose a departure day by December 18th.
- This raffle shall be exclusively governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario.
