Online collections database linkOur Online Collections Database is available for researchers to browse or search through parts of our archival and collections material.  Staff assess, research, document, describe, number, clean and record donations of Bruce County related artifacts. These artifacts are stored in environmentally controlled storage areas and used to tell the story of Bruce County in our galleries.  New records are being uploaded every other week!

Research Room at the BCM&CC The Research Room offers visitors a welcoming atmosphere for visitors to browse our non lending library. Archives staff and volunteers care for the archival collection and are available to assist researchers.  Local history reference material is available on a variety of subjects.


The Research Room is well used by many different types of clients.  Ancestry Library Edition is available for family historians to search for people across the world.  The Research Room has an extensive genealogical reference collection including the Audrey Webster Underwood Library (the holdings of the Bruce County Genealogical Society) and research aids created by the Bruce & Grey Branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society.

The Archives or Stacks house the original documents in the Archives at the BCM&CCcollection including official Bruce County records, municipal records, business, organizational, and private records.

The BCM&CC has been collecting artifacts and research material for over 60 years. Our extensive collection, focusing on the vibrant history of Bruce County, is second to none.  The Collection is displayed in our 12,000 sq ft of exhibit spaces and housed in state-of-the-art storage areas.
