Pioneer Mystery Box – Grade Three

Artifacts are unique objects, often very old, which tell a story about life in early Bruce County.  Often, local residents donate these items to the Museum for care and display.

It is the Museum’s Artefact Specialists who preserve, catalogue, care for and display these objects so we can enjoy and learn from them.  Students will become Museum Artefact Specialists in this simulation of Museum life.  Using a box filled with objects from a Pioneer’s life, they learn specific handling techniques, and use an enquiry method to determine the name and use of the objects.
