March Break adventures await! Join our Explorers Day Camp for a week of discovery, creativity, and excitement. Each day features new hands-on activities, crafts, experiments, games, and outdoor play, and often a special guest

 

Register early – spaces fill quickly.  

Monday (March 16) – Down the Rabbit Hole 

Step into the topsy-turvy world of Alice in Wonderland! Put on your Cheshire grin, and create your own curious headwear inspired by our Fashion Over Function exhibit, make your own games and Wonderland-inspired critters, and let a little nonsense guide the day. 

Tuesday (March 17) – Easy Being Green 

Celebrate animals, nature, and a bit of St. Patrick’s Day luck at camp! Meet some incredible live creatures and get creative with eco-friendly and nature crafts that make it easy to be green. 

Wednesday (March 18) – Superhero Academy 

Create your own superhero identity and imagine the powers that make you unstoppable. Test your superpowers, design gadgets, and go on a heroic adventure! 

Thursday (March 19) – Cirque du “Musée” 

Come and join the circus! Explore the art and science of circus performance through playful, hands-on activities that test your coordination and creativity. Discover what it takes to pull off the tricks behind the Big Top. 

 

Friday (March 20) – Let it Snow 

Celebrate the beauty and mystery of Canada’s coolest time of year with icy experiments, frosty crafts, and outdoor adventure. Hear some traditional winter stories and put your skills to the test in a STEM snow plow challenge. 

 

Ages 5-10 years | Space is limited; Preregistration and prepayment are required. 

   

$250/week Members | $280/week Non-members (Plus applicable fees).

Explorers Camp Important Information    

 

Drop-off/pick-up and proof of age:  

Please note all participants will be asked to show proof of age at the time of drop off. This can be a health card, passport, birth certificate, or any other piece of ID that shows both name and date of birth.   

Drop-off is in the lobby between 8:30 AM and 9:00 AM. There will be a sign in/out sheet at the front desk to ensure your child’s safe arrival and departure; please indicate who will be picking your child up that day on the sheet.  

 

Pick-up is at 4:30 PM. Please inform staff if you need to pick up your child earlier. 

 

What to bring*:  

1 nut-free lunch  

2 nut-free snacks  

A water bottle  

Indoor shoes  

Weather appropriate outdoor clothes – we will be going outside  

A sweater (the Museum can get cold)  

A change of clothes/extra socks 

*Please label all items with participants’ names if possible  

  

Do not send:  

Electronic devices  

Play weapons or weapons of any kind  

Clothes that cannot get dirty  

Non-essential personal belongings like toys or stuffies (to avoid lost items and mix-ups)  

  

Please be advised that while we require nut-free snacks and lunches, we are a nut-aware (not nut-free) facility and share a kitchen that is used for rentals. If you have concerns about allergies, please speak to a staff member. 

 

The Child Activity Assistance Program (CAAP) is a fund available for families with a gross income of less than $49,466.00. The fund assists families with the cost of activities such as school trips, school nutrition programs, extra-curricular activities, arts and cultural programs, Scouts/Brownies etc. Bruce County families can access this program for their dependent children under the age of 18, and receive up to $500.00 per child, per year.
