Against extraordinary odds\, Shackleton led his crew to safety through months of hardship on the ice\, a perilous voyage across the Southern Ocean\, and a daring mountain crossing of South Georgia Island.  \nDrawing on his five journeys to Antarctica\, including an expedition tracing Shackleton’s route through the Weddell Sea\, Elephant Island\, and South Georgia\, intrepid adventurer Ian Evans brings this remarkable story to life.
