Arist Donald Stuart will take you through his nationally touring collection of 41 framed neckpieces\, created as a celebration and tribute to Canadian women throughout the ages and across the country. Stuart will also survey his early career\, including his founding of the Pangnirtung Weaving Studio in what is now Nunavut\, one of only three dedicated studios in the world that creates commissioned tapestries.  \nMembers FREE; General Admission Applies.  \nCoffee\, tea\, and treats will be provided.  \n REGISTER >> \nAbout Donald Stuart   \nAs one of Canada’s leading gold/silversmiths\, Donald Stuart has earned an international reputation for his work in jewelry\, hollowware and architectural installations. During his celebrated career\, Stuart has received over 30 significant awards for his artistry in gold\, silver\, platinum\, and diamonds\, including the top prizes in many competitions. He has participated in numerous national and international exhibitions and has been the subject of many one-man shows. Mr. Stuart’s work is found in national\, international\, public\, corporate\, and private collections. He is constantly in demand to give lectures and workshops across North America and beyond.

DESCRIPTION:Celebrate Multiculturalism Day by joining creative baking instructor and Season 7 contestant of The Great Canadian Baking Show\, Niv Menon-Saberi.  \nParticipants will learn the art of making and baking a Persian and Indian festive treat with a demonstration and tasting of chai from both cultures. Guests will take home their baked goods after class! All materials will be provided.  \n   \nAbout Niv Menon-Saberi  \nNiv formerly worked in nuclear engineering and left work to focus on parenting and pursue her love of baking. She enjoys getting creative with flavours from her and her husband’s Indian and Persian cultures. Niv is active in her small community on Lake Huron where she is a vital member of the curling club\, and enjoys thrifting\, playing volleyball\, and practicing reiki. She also makes her own kombucha and teaches creative baking to kids at the local gallery.  \n  \n$70 Members | $80 Non-members  \nRecommended for ages 18 and up.
