The launch event will provide attendees with the opportunity to meet Ladd in person and learn more about her inspiration behind the book.

DESCRIPTION:Black History Month Presentation: Erasing Erasure \nJoin us for a special presentation with guests Aly Boltman\, local historian\, and Dorothy Abbott\, of the Grey County Black Heritage Society and whose family escaped via the underground railroad circa 1850\, as they guide us through the work that led to the recognition of more than 1\,200 people buried in unmarked graves in Owen Sound’s Potter’s Field. Many of those people were fleeing slavery in the US\, arriving in Owen Sound\, the northernmost terminus of the Underground Railroad. \nThe Potter’s Field project has won five awards\, including most recently an Architectural Conservancy Ontario Heritage Award. \nMembers FREE; General Admission Applies. \nThis event will be held in person within the Museum’s Bruce Power Theatre with refreshments to follow. \nProudly presented by Judy Rich Barrister & Solicitor  \n
