DESCRIPTION:If you believe that you are never too old to have fun\, try something new\, and be creative…“I’m Not Done Yet!” is for you!    \n“I’m Not Done Yet!” — a fun\, creative arts workshop for adults 55 and older comes to Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre this fall. Once a week\, participants will gather to explore storytelling\, acting\, music\, and gentle movement. Workshops will be led by Joan Chandler (acting\, theatre and improvisation) and david sereda (singing and songwriting) of Sheatre\, plus guest artists. DESCRIPTION:September 30 | 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM  \nFree Admission to Museum during open hours from 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM.  \nThe Biinaagami Water Map will be open from 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM.  \nEnjoy free admission to the Museum on Wednesday\, September 30\, in honour of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.   \nDuring your visit\, take time to view the Witness Blanket exhibition\, located in the Museum’s OPG Feature Gallery (lower level) and explore the interactive Biinaagami Water Map on the upper level\, open for public exploration from 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM in the Bruce Gallery.   \n  \nAbout the Witness Blanket  \nThe Witness Blanket is a powerful art installation created by master carver Carey Newman to recognize the atrocities of the residential school era\, honour the children and symbolize ongoing reconciliation. Inspired by a woven blanket\, this cedar-framed artwork is made of hundreds of items from Indian residential schools\, Survivors\, churches\, governments and other cultural sites across Canada. Each item tells a story of loss\, strength\, resilience and pride.  \nWARNING: This exhibition contains subject matter that may be disturbing to some visitors and may be triggering. Please call 1-866-925-4419 or your local crisis line for counselling and support.     \n  \nAbout the Biinaagami Water Map  \nThe Biinaagami Water Map is a giant floor map that uses augmented reality (AR) to take visitors through the Great Lakes—St. Lawrence watershed\, giving voice to the waters and amplifying Indigenous knowledge and histories.
