Get Involved

Donations

Our success is made possible, in part, by the support we receive through our strong relationships with you, our donors. Your generosity ensures that we will continue to inspire, educate and remain the premier destination of choice for exploring our history.

Volunteer

Volunteers are the building blocks of our Museum. All our activities and programs depend on the assistance of dedicated volunteers.

How Will the Donated Materials be Used?

Unless the creators include restrictions in their submission forms, some images or stories may be added to the Shared Stories page to inspire others to contribute and share, and to give the community a sense of what stories are being captured.

All materials received will be considered for accession into the BCM&CC Archives Permanent Collection, according to the BCM&CC Collections Management Policy and Archives Collecting Plan.   Donors will later be contacted to be advised of whether their submissions were added to the Collection.

Items may be used by the Museum for many different purposes, including in-house or online exhibition or BCM&CC publications. The BCM&CC will have discretion as to the storage, use, display, and reproduction (in all forms of media) of, as well as access to, the donated material according to policies and procedures of the BCM&CC.

All donated material will also be made available to the public for years to come for the purposes of research and private study. The material may be made available to researchers for other uses as well, including inclusion in publications, at the discretion of the BCM&CC.

Anyone with questions or comments about the potential use of the materials is invited to contact Archivist Deb Sturdevant: archives@brucecounty.on.ca, 226-909-2426
