The Anishnaabwe Gallery showcases Anishnaabwe culture in a broader environmental and cultural context, specifically the impacts that changing climate and landscape have had on a range of cultural expressions, including subsistence pursuits, material culture, settlement and the evolution into today’s culture.
Community members from both Saugeen First Nation and Chippewas of Nawash Unceded First Nation worked closely with the BCM&CC to create a vision for this exhibit, through to the development and final presentation that shares local Anishinaabe history. This collaboration includes video interviews with community members and written translations that provide authentic experiences.
