Beauty of the Escarpment to be celebrated in upcoming BCM&CC art show in partnership with Bruce Peninsula Society of Artists

The Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre is thrilled to announce the highly anticipated opening event for the juried art show “Escarpment Roots: The Land, The People, The Story,” in collaboration with the Bruce Peninsula Society of Artists (BPSA). The event will take place on June 10 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre.

This remarkable exhibition explores the rich heritage and breathtaking landscapes of the Niagara Escarpment. The show features captivating artworks created by talented local artists who draw inspiration from the unique essence of the region. Through various artistic mediums, the exhibition delves into the interplay between the land, its people, and the fascinating stories that shape the region’s identity.

“We are so excited to welcome the BPSA back to the BCM&CC with their newest juried show Escarpment Roots,” says Director, Museum & Cultural Services, Cathy McGirr. “This exhibition is an amazing connection to all things Bruce, as reflected in the title.”

During the opening event, visitors will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in a vibrant display of artistic excellence, celebrating the artists’ profound connection to the escarpment region. Guests can engage with the artists, learn about their creative process, and gain insights into the stories behind their pieces. Complimentary coffee, tea, and light refreshments will be served. A cash bar will be available.

Admission to the exhibit opening event is free of charge. For full exhibit details and to RSVP, please visit brucemuseum.ca.

Escarpment Roots: The Land, The People, The Story will be on display from June 10 to September 4, with a closing reception event set to take place on September 2.
