On Saturday, August 12, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, all Kincardine residents and ratepayers will receive free admission to the Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre as part of Kincardine Community Days.
This is the first of two Kincardine Community Days this year and residents are invited to visit the Museum’s summer exhibits – Teens: Creative Minds and Escarpment Roots: The Land, The People, The Story – as well as the Museum’s many permanent exhibits, including Riding the Rails, Captivating Coastline, The Last Frontier, Bevan’s General Store, Anishnaabwe Endaat: Where we live and lived. In the Museum’s backyard, explore the one-room schoolhouse and look out over beautiful Fairy Lake; the range light from the Stoke’s Bay lighthouse and a potash kettle are also on display.
Residents who are interested in attending are asked to register at brucemuseum.ca or show proof of residency at time of entry.
Kincardine Community Days are in recognition of the Municipality of Kincardine’s support of the Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre’s plans to expand its Archives. A second Kincardine Community Day will be hosted at the BCM&CC on Saturday, October 21, 2023.
