Rentals & Birthdays

We are ACCEPTING facility rental bookings for 2023!

The Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre offers a unique space for making your next meeting, family celebration, or presentation a truly memorable event.  We are a licensed facility with a fully certified kitchen for caterers, ample parking, accessible facilities and a beautiful setting.  The Museum is the ideal spot for clubs, organizations and individuals to hold their events.

*Please note that the Museum no longer provides wedding rental services as part of its Visitor Services offerings.

Celebrate your little explorers special day with a journey through Bruce County history!  Come face-to-face with a baby mammoth, dig for fossils, hop aboard HMS General Hunter to defeat the enemy and be the conductor of the BCM Railway.

Parties have two timeslot options to choose from: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM or 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM. Please specify your preference at the time of booking.

The Bruce Gallery is located on the third level of the facility with a terrace overlooking our beautifully landscaped front lawn and the picturesque community of Southampton and is easily accessible by elevator.  This space is an ideal display area, conference room or banquet hall and has a projector and screen available for presentations.

The Bruce Power Theatre is located directly off the Main Lobby with a stage for small performances and seating for 104 with wheelchair accessibility.  There are two projection units available to project DVDs, VHS Videos, computer presentations and more onto a large or small screen

The Café space located on Level One provides an open area overlooking breathtaking Fairy Lake.  This open space is ideal for networking and social events.  

This bright and spacious meeting room is located on the main level of the Museum.  This room provides an exceptional meeting space that comfortably seats 14 – 16 and has a portable projector and screen available if required.  This space can also open to join with the Sterling Room.

This quaint meeting room is located on the main level and is suitable for smaller meetings that comfortably seats 6 – 8 people for meetings, brainstorming or training sessions.  There are portable projector and screen available if required.  This space can also open to join with the Dundas Room.

The Certified Kitchen is located on Level One and can be rented in combination with other rentals.  This space includes a fridge, microwave, stove, and industrial dishwasher.

The welcoming Lobby on the Entrance Level is available for receptions and special events.  The Bruce Power Theatre, Dundas Room and Sterling Room are easily accessed from the Main Lobby.  The limestone shown in floor of the Main Lobby is an abundant natural resource of Bruce County and can be found throughout the Museum facility.  Guests are greeted at the Visitor Services desk. Also visible is the limestone wall that extends from the Museum’s western property line through the Museum Interior to Fairy Lake. It represents the Niagara Escarpment, which is a dominant feature of Bruce County.

The Outdoor Patio and Deck overlook Fairly Lake providing a beautiful backdrop for corporate or personal gatherings, programs & outdoor events.  The space is a licensed area and is available seasonally.
