Bruce County Museum Hosting Lunar New Year Family Day Celebration

The Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre invites families and community members to celebrate Lunar New Year and Family Day on Monday, February 16, 2026, with a festive day of culture, creativity and hands-on fun. This special event brings the traditions of Lunar New Year to life with activities and demonstrations for all ages.

Visitors will experience cultural demonstrations throughout the day, including brush writing, paper cutting and a zodiac animal presentation honouring the Year of the Horse. Families can also get creative with themed crafts, making paper dragons, lanterns and paper-cut art to take home.

Guests may participate in a museum-wide Lunar New Year Bingo adventure, completing challenges and exploring exhibits for a chance to win a prize. Traditional foods (which may contain nuts) and engaging, hands-on activities will add to the festive atmosphere, offering a fun and educational way to celebrate one of the world’s most significant holidays.

Ontario Power Generation is proudly presenting this event. Members receive free admission; general admission rates apply. There’s no preregistration requirement — just come and celebrate Lunar New Year and Family Day at the Bruce County Museum and Cultural Centre!
