African Cooking Workshop with Dede’s African Kitchen

Celebrate Multiculturalism Day by joining guest chef instructor Ivy Anang, owner of Dede’s African Kitchen in Owen Sound.  Participants will learn the art and skills of making authentic African cuisine, specifically Jollof rice and chicken, meatpies, and plantain.  

 

Guests will take home their food after class. Please bring a take-home container! All other materials will be provided.  

$70 Members | $80 Non-members (Plus applicable fees). 

Recommended for ages 18 and up. Space is limited, preregistration is required. 

 

About Ivy Anang 

Ivy is a trained teacher from Ghana, West Africa. After moving to Canada, she began a career in the health care system before deciding to pursue entrepreneurship in the hospitality industry. Since she was a child, cooking, baking and singing have been her passions. Today, Ivy’s business specializes mainly in African and Caribbean cuisine, along with foods from other cultures. She offers catering services for large or small orders.
