Dian has always been intrigued by how people live and work in different parts of the world. To gain a better understanding, she uses her role as a photographer to capture these moments in the form of a photographic image.
In this exhibition, you will experience the concentration of a Maltese woman creating a delicate piece of lace, feel the desolation of an abandoned Greek village, and be face to face with a Galapagos tortoise all through black and white film.
About the Artist
Dian has extensive photographic darkroom experience working with black and white film and prints. Her background is in the visual arts as a visual arts educator with The Toronto District School Board, specializing in photography. Over the years she has taken several sabbatical leaves to travel and satisfy her curiosity about different world cultures. Dian and her husband and fellow traveller, Doug, have permanently relocated here from Toronto.
