Light Up the Holidays at the Bruce County Museum and Cultural Centre

The Bruce County Museum and Cultural Centre invites families and friends to celebrate the season at its annual Light Up the Holidays event on Friday, December 12, 2025, from 5 to 8 p.m.

This year’s event will feature holiday singalongs by the Chantry Singers, adding a musical touch to the evening’s festivities. Families will have the opportunity to take a photo with Santa, make holiday crafts, get festive with face painting, and watch live heritage demonstrations.

The evening will also include a colouring contest, scavenger hunt and a Price is Right game for a chance to win some fabulous prizes courtesy of Judy Rich Law Office.

Holiday storytime readings will take place in the Museum’s Book Nook space, presented by the Bruce County Public Library, which will have its Bookmobile on site for those looking to borrow books to read over the holidays.

Guests will enjoy complimentary refreshments, including coffee, tea, hot chocolate and snacks, including festive cookie decorating. Special thanks to Judy Rich Law Office, with media partner 101.7 The One for presenting this event.

There’s limited seating for the holiday singalongs, so preregistration for a seat is encouraged. Other on-floor programming does not require advance registration and walk-ins are welcome. Members are free; general admission applies.
