Renowned Journalist Anna Maria Tremonti to Speak in Bruce County This October

Don’t miss your chance to spend an unforgettable evening with one of Canada’s most trusted voices in journalism. Early bird tickets are now available for An Evening with Anna Maria Tremonti, happening Thursday, October 23, 2025, at the Unifor Family Education Centre in Port Elgin.

Hosted by the Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre, the event offers a rare opportunity to hear from one of Canada’s most respected journalists and radio personalities. Anna Maria Tremonti has built a remarkable career at the forefront of Canadian and international news, known for her insightful reporting and her ability to connect complex global issues to the human experience.

A two-time Gemini Award winner, Tremonti will share her reflections on the historical context of our current era, explore the forces shaping today’s world and offer her perspective on what lies ahead. Her voice has long helped Canadians understand the stories that define us, and this event promises to be both thought-provoking and inspiring.

Where: Unifor Family Education Centre, located at 115 Shipley Ave. in Port Elgin.
When: Doors open at 6 p.m. and the presentation begins at 7 p.m.

About Anna Maria Tremonti
Anna Maria Tremonti is one of Canada’s most trusted and accomplished journalists. Known for her 17-year tenure as the host of CBC Radio’s The Current, she is a two-time Gemini Award winner and former foreign correspondent with extensive experience reporting from conflict zones and political centres around the world. Tremonti is also the creator of Welcome to Paradise, a deeply personal podcast that explores trauma, resilience and healing.
