Blending local ghost stories, mysterious legends, and true tales from the past, this 10-week evening program invites young learners to become junior historians and creative storytellers while exploring the rich history and folklore of Southampton and the Lake Huron shoreline. 

 

Through hands-on crafts, games, and guided storytelling, participants will uncover the people, places, and events that shaped this region—while also letting their imaginations roam into the eerie and unexplained. It’s a playful and engaging introduction to historical learning through the lens of myth, memory, and mystery.

Week 1 – The Lighthouse Keeper’s Secret 

Week 2 – Shipwrecks & Spirits of Lake Huron 

Week 3 – THe Lady in the Window 

Week 4 – The Phantom Fiddler of the Saugeen 

Week 5 – Ghosts of the Jailhouse 

Week 6 – Ghosts in the Garden 

Week 7 – The Sleepy Soldier 

Week 8 – The Forest that Remembers 

Week 9 – The Missing Bell of Fairy Lake 

Week 10 – The Spirit Parade 

 

About the Instructor 

Chelsea Campbell is the creator of The Travelling Art Lab and believes in the transformative power of play based, fine arts learning for all ages. 

 

Ages 11 – 14 years | Space is limited, preregistration and prepayment required.
