Volunteers are the building blocks of our Museum. All our activities and programs depend on the assistance of dedicated volunteers.
During the month of June, we recognize Indigenous Peoples Month, reflecting on the rich heritage, diverse cultures, and remarkable contributions of Indigenous Peoples, and honoring the stories and traditions of the First Nations, Inuit, and Métis communities. On Indigenous Peoples Day (June 21), spend some time exploring (self-guided) the Museum's Anishinaabwe Endaat Gallery with FREE all-day Museum admission.
Celebrate Multiculturalism Day by joining guest chef instructor Ivy Anang, owner of Dede’s African Kitchen in Owen Sound. Participants will learn the art and skills of making authentic African cuisine, specifically Jollof rice and chicken, meatpies, and plantain. Guests will take home their food after class.
